Angie is a Registered Psychologist completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She brings a warm, collaborative approach to therapy, and works with young people, adults, and families. Angie supports clients with relationship and interpersonal difficulties, management of personality disorders, depression/mood difficulties, anxiety and panic, emotion dysregulation and stress, life transition and adjustments, as well as family work.
With experience across clinical practice, research, and clinician training, Angie takes an alliance-focused approach to therapy, fostering trust and collaboration to explore how past relationships shape emotions and behaviours. Angie is experienced in working with personality disorders and complex mental health presentations. Her therapeutic style is informed by psychodynamic analysis, attachment-based treatments, CBT, ACT, and narrative therapy - tailoring interventions to suit each client’s needs.
Having lived and worked across Malaysia, America, and Australia, Angie is attuned to the transcultural factors that shape mental health and integrates this awareness into their clinical work, providing clients with culturally thoughtful and personalised care. She is also experienced in providing culturally sensitive family and parenting support through the CCCK program, helping parents and carers build stronger, more connected, and collaborative relationships with their children.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I enjoy a mix creative and hands-on pursuits. Writing-particularly contemporary essays and poetry-is something I find deeply fulfilling, as it allows me to reflect on complex ideas and human experiences. I also love learning, whether it’s exploring new ideas, or learning new languages-I’m currently learning French!

Creatively, I enjoy watercolour painting. Art provides a different kind of expression, and a window to engage with inner experiences in a more fluid, intuitive way. I also have a huge appreciation for coffee brewing, finding the process both meditative and rewarding. Another passion of mine is caring for my plants - tending to them connects me to nature.
Beyond that, I also spend time with my friends, play sports, and explore new places in Australia!
What’s your favourite quote?
“To restore the human subject at the center - the suffering, afflicted, fighting human subject - we must deepen a case history to a narrative or tale; only then do we have a “who” as well as a “what,” a real person, a patient, in relation to disease - in relation to the physical. The patient’s essential being is very relevant in the higher reaches of neurology, and in psychology; for here the patient’s personhood is essentially involved, and the study of disease and of identity cannot be disjoined.” — Oliver Sacks, The Man who Mistook His Wife for a Hat
Where is your favourite travel destination?
I love traveling to Europe, especially cities rich in history, art, and culture! Cities with a mix of historic and modern architecture captivates me. I’m drawn to places that blend depth, cultural richness, craftsmanship, and beauty!
What does therapy mean to you?
Therapy is an experience. It is a process of self-exploration, integration, and nurturing - where the unspoken is noticed, where feelings, both positive and negative, are held and understood. It is a space where we learn and unlearn the narratives we were told about ourselves.
Ultimately, it is a space for empowerment, holding, and being.
